Insurance

We have a limited number of providers who are in network with and can bill to insurances.

Certain Waterloo therapists are in network with the following insurances: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Magellan, Aetna, Cigna, and Medicaid and Medicare. Waterloo plans to be in-network with Humana, Optum/United Healthcare, Superior/Ambetter and Tricare.

You may have a longer wait to see a therapist with your insurance. You may choose to see one of our other therapists at our self-pay rates.

Limited Sliding Scale Discount Program

Available for clients who do not have insurance, whose insurance does not have mental health benefits, or are choosing to see a therapist that is not covered by their insurance.

The Sliding Scare Discount Program includes potential discounts between 42% and 98% of our full self-pay fee.

Eligibility for a Sliding Scale Discount Program opening is based on a sliding scale as determined by household income and the number of people in the household.

Click here to view our Limited Sliding Scale Discount Program.

Ryan White Grant Program

You are eligible for Ryan White grant assistance if you are HIV positive and have no health insurance (or health insurance with no mental health benefits).

The Ryan White Grant Assistance Program includes potential discounts between 58% and 100% of our full self-pay fee.

Clients served with Ryan White funds will have their sliding scale fee determined using household income and the number of people in the household.

Click here to view our Limited Sliding Scale Discount Program.

There is no wait for clients who are eligible for Ryan White assisted services.

Crime Victims’ Compensation (CVC) Program

We work with the Crime Victims’ Compensation Program, which may cover your therapy costs if you are eligible for this service. Click here for more information.

“The Crime Victims’ Compensation (CVC) Program helps crime victims and their immediate families with the financial costs of crime. CVC covers crime-related costs such as counseling, medical treatment, funerals, and loss of income not paid by other sources.” (from the CVC website)

Waterloo notifies all clients of their responsibility to pay the agreed upon amount for the services the client receives to the best of their ability.

All self-pay services are provided an up front Good Faith estimate as required by the No Surprises Act.

We do our best to verify insurance benefits, but understanding the insurance company may complete a claim with a different client responsibility amount than we were originally able to verify, insurance costs are ultimately the client’s responsibility and differences may be due to the client.
